Doctors to go for strike if action not taken against SDM Zainapora : DAK | KNO

Doctors and Paramedics across the state today hold protests by wearing black badges around there arms against the misbehavior of SDM Zainapora with a Consultant Surgeon on saturday at CHC Zainapora , Shopian. The call for protests was given by President Doctors Association Kashmir(DAK) Dr Suhail Naik and was supported by J&K Doctors Coordination Committee, JKDCC, which is an amalgam of various doctors associations across the state JKDCC is an amalgam of Doctors association Kashmir/Jammu, Society of Consultant Doctors (SCD),Resident Doctors Association Jammu/Kashmir, Society of Dental Surgeons J&K (SDSJK),Chenab Valley Doctors Association, NHM Doctors Association & Private Practioners Association. President Doctors Association Kashmir, Dr Suhail Naik while condemning the ill treatment of the doctor by the SDM, has sought action against the SDM concerned and threatened that if no action is taken against the erring official, doctors across state will be forced to go for a pen down strike on Wednesday followed by intensified agitation programme whose onus will lie on the Government exclusively. Meanwhile Convener JKDCC Dr M Yousuf Tak has supported the stand of DAK and stressed the authorities to take immediate action in the matter failing which the health personnel has no choice but to launch a state wide agitation. It is pertinent to mention here that a video showing SDM Zainapora misbehvaing with doctor went viral across social media yesterday which was condemned widely. DAK also appreciates paramedical associations which supported the cause. Pertinently DAK has shot memorandum to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Health Minister, Divisonal Commissioner, Kashmir, Director Health Services, Kashmir, DDC Shopian for intervening in this grave matter so that morale of medical professionals is not dented.
